Our 5-day program will kick off with an evening sponsored by Sustainable Alpha to allow the visiting investors to meet each other and some of our partners and hosts for the week.

Sunday, 3rd Nov

University of Glasgow, Advanced Research Centre
Formal kick off to the week set at the Advanced Research Centre at the University of Glasgow. Session will provide an overview of the Scottish Government's national strategy, Scottish Enterprise's strategy for driving growth and investment, a history of innovation and engineering in Glasgow, a brief framing overview of the main sectors that investors are going to be experiencing, and the schedule for the week. We will also get a tour the University of Glasgow which was founded in 1451.

DeepTech and Internet of Things (IoT)
The investors will have the opportunity to meet a number of high-potential investable companies who are in the Internet of Thing (IoT) and DeepTech sector. Given the integration of hardware and software, and supporting ecosystems, IoT companies have a wide array of industrial, commercial, residential and consumer applications. With sensors and devices being combined with AI, very advanced solutions are being developed at an incredible rate. This session at the Filament-STAC centre will offer investors the opportunity to hear from these exciting companies, and to spend some time with them through Q&A sessions, and informal networking.

FinTech Sector
Scotland has a quickly growing Fintech sector with global financial services companies based in Glasgow and Edinburgh. In this session, we will hear from sector leaders and high-potential investable companies as they pitch the investors. We will have canapes and buffet style dinner allowing guests and investors to network.

Explore Space
This session will focus exclusively on Scotland's growing space sector, and adjacent technologies and sectors. Investors will have an opportunity to learn about the broader sector from a government and commercial perspective, have the opportunity to hear from leading high-potential companies that are seeking investment, and to meet investors who are active in the space. We will also have time for investors to network with those SpaceTech companies that pitched.

This curated session will allow leading local investors and fund managers to interact with our visiting investors. After a small diverse panel and fireside chat to discuss the investment landscape, the investors will be able to network while enjoying food and some whiskies.

Digital & Cybersecurity
Dundee is famous for its creative technology expertise, with many world-class games such as Grand Theft Auto originating here. It also produces a significant cluster of cybersecurity talent and businesses. We will meet a number of the emerging tech companies at the cyberQuarter at Abertay University which was recently awarded the UK Centre of Excellence for Cyber Security by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) – part of GCHQ.​

ClimateTech and NetZero
This session will focus on Scotland's ClimateTech and Energy Transition strategy, highlighting the best high-potential investable companies. Companies will cover Renewables, Waste & Recycling, Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS), BioFuels and others. We will hear from the NetZero Tech Centre (and others) on the key projects and programs running across Scotland with a focus on how the broader sector is developing. There will be opportunities for Q&A and for networking with the companies that are presenting.This will be followed to a site visit where investors can see how the local industrial complex is supporting Scotland's Energy Transition.

BioHub
Scottish scientists have been producing world-class pharmaceutical solutions and therapeutics for over a century. From the invention of Penicillin in 1928 to the MRI Scanner in the 1970s, to the stem cell research that led to Dolly The Sheep in 1996, Scotland's biotech industry has been truly revolutionary. Hosted by Opportunity North East (ONE)'s BioHub, we will explore their state-of-the-art research and development facilities, and hear from some of the leading Life Sciences companies seeking to raise international capital.

We will move from Aberdeen to Edinburgh via bus, and will have time to check-in to our hotel and to allow some personal time before enjoying an informal evening in Edinburgh.

Day Four
Thursday, 7th Nov

Data, AI, and Robotics
This will be the final formal session of the week where we are hearing from exciting companies across the digital, data, AI, and robotics sectors within Scotland. We will also hear from some biotech companies that focus on AgriTech and sustainable food chain. High-potential investable companies will pitch the investors at the Edinburgh Futures Institute and we will have plenty of time to network and engage with those companies.

National Museum of Scotland
Our wrap up session will bring together some of the executives and local hosts to celebrate and reflect on our week together. Hosted at the National Museum of Scotland we will have a review of the week over drinks and canapes, enjoy a private tour of the museum, and enjoy stunning views across the city from the top of the museum.

Exploring Edinburgh
Investors will have Friday evening open and free to explore Edinburgh, but we will organize fun social activities around dinner and exploring local bars and venues.

Investors are requested to contact Sustainable Alpha to discuss their interests, and to obtain a more detailed schedule of events. Qualified investors will receive investor and company bios prior to the tour. investors will book their own flights to and from Scotland and will be provided recommendations for hotels to align with the tour schedule.
